About us

Ebrahim Kaskar

The Founder of the Shalimar Group of Companies, with over 40 years experience in Event Management and Showbiz. Mr Kaskar has also played an instrumental role in bringing Bollywood to Cape Town. Having independently hosted and co-ordinated more than 30 shoots, he is no stranger to Bollywood.

Ish Kaskar

Ish, a Super Car enthusiast with multiple business interests. Owner of RVIK investments and Founder of Last Lion Lifestyle hosting the Largest Super Car events in Southern Africa! A Business Analyst by profession, he understand business needs, & designs feasible solutions to address requirements. His strength lies in communication with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.

Raees Kaskar

Raees is an Admitted Attorney with experience in Criminal law and Legal Compliance. Raees is responsible for the overall administration of the Company keeping in mind the legal requirements that need to be met.


As a team, we have the energy and experience to facilitate Feature Films & Ad Films that is visually mind-blowing within a budget accessible to most producers.

We are also the only Production House in Cape Town that owns our own Hotels, Transportation, Film Equipment & Catering facilities.

Our Services

Hotels & Catering

We own a 3 & 5 Star Hotel that gives us the flexibility to meet any accommodation requirements.

Our kitchens specialise in Indian Cuisine ensuring that catering on & off location will be of the highest standard whether it be veg/non-veg meals.

Logistics

We have strong relationships with vendors that provides various logistics solutions - from expediting customs clearance for containers, to providing daily transporting requirements for the Cast & Crew.

Specialised Grips, Camera equipment, Vanity Vans & Tracking vehicles are also available.

Film Equipment

All Film Equipment is available in Cape Town - from Specialised lighting - to - Camera - to - Grips. Cape Town has its own Arri depot which contains everything a DOP could dream of.

An added bonus is that we own our own 30ft Jimmy Jib.

Production Co-ordination

We have completed a number of Bollywood Feature films with varied levels of requirements. All Projects are handled by our professional team, & we go the extra mile to ensure that you have the Best Locations along with the Best Skills to & that you Capture your desired shot.

Cape Town beaches have been awarded "Blue Flag" status which is awarded to the best beaches in the world in terms of cleanliness & safety.

In addition to sun bathing & swimming, spotting whales, sharks, dolphins and penguins are a very common sight!

Valleys

From lush bright yellow canola fields, to purple lavender fields and everything in between including the greenest vineyards, apple farms & strawberry farms!

We also have breathtaking mountain backdrops provding an amazing setting for the perfect frame everytime!

Cape Town City Centre is home to a number of Skyscrapers giving it a modern New York feel, the Atlantic Seaboard represents the extravagance of Monaco, whilst the wine route takes you back to old world charm with its Dutch and colonial architecture.
